1054 viewsGreat Yarmouth suffered two major rail closured in 1959 and as a consequence the dismal scene of closed stations on once important rail links became common. Just outside Great Yarmouth and the first station on the line to London, Belton and Burgh Castle was one such station and is seen here in an unwanted and unused state on 15th July, 1963.

1090 viewsBack in 1911. Belton and Burgh Castle station was very much the heart iof the village and set amongst rolling countryside. No trace of the station exists today and since the location and some of the surrounding counteryside was designated for development, residential housing now covers much of the land seen here.
